Ivanka Trump’s 15-Year-Old Daughter Arabella Steps Into the Spotlight at White House State Visit — RARE PHOTOS Show How Much She’s Grown

For years, Arabella Rose Kushner was the little girl occasionally glimpsed beside her mother, Ivanka Trump, in family photographs. This week, however, the 15-year-old appeared in a very different setting: seated prominently at the White House during the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan.

The September 24 appearance immediately attracted attention, partly because Arabella has grown up largely outside the constant public exposure surrounding the Trump family. Photographs from the ceremony showed the teenager beside her mother in the front section of the audience, close to Vice President JD Vance, Usha Vance and senior administration figures. A Mother-Daughter Appearance at the White House

For the daytime ceremony, Ivanka chose a robin’s-egg-blue dress and matching embroidered jacket by Chinese couturier Guo Pei. Arabella stood beside her in ivory, wearing a short-sleeved belted ensemble by Self-Portrait with jeweled buttons, a coordinating midi skirt and understated shoes. ¡HOLA!

The mother and daughter later shared photographs from inside the White House. Some were formal, but others were unexpectedly playful, including a photograph in which the pair stood on opposite sides of a fireplace and reached toward each other.

The resulting RARE PHOTOS offered a much more personal glimpse of the teenager than the official ceremony alone.

Arabella is Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s eldest child. Her younger brothers are Joseph and Theodore. Although she has occasionally appeared alongside her family, her parents have generally kept much of her childhood outside the daily political spotlight.

That made her prominent position during this particular state visit especially noticeable.

Her Connection to China Goes Back Years

There was also an interesting piece of history behind Arabella’s presence.

When she was much younger, Arabella studied Mandarin. During Donald Trump’s first presidency, videos of her speaking and singing in Mandarin attracted considerable attention. In 2017, Ivanka shared a video of Arabella performing a traditional Chinese song around the time of Lunar New Year, and her Mandarin skills became surprisingly well known in China.

That history gave her appearance during Xi Jinping’s 2026 visit an additional layer of context. Recent coverage of the ceremony specifically noted her childhood connection to Chinese language and culture. ¡HOLA!

The little girl remembered from those older clips is now a teenager — something that became particularly apparent when photographs from the White House began circulating.

Then Came the State Dinner Transformation

The daytime appearance was only half of the mother-daughter fashion moment.

For the evening state dinner, both changed clothes completely. Ivanka appeared in a floor-length Georges Hobeika design with an embellished corset-style bodice and satin skirt. Arabella exchanged her ivory daytime ensemble for a long black evening dress, wearing her brunette hair up and adding a delicate necklace. ¡HOLA!

Photos shared afterward showed the two preparing for the evening, posing together and even taking a mirror selfie.

The photographs inevitably generated fashion commentary. Some coverage described Arabella’s outfits as sophisticated or mature, while social-media reactions ranged from praise for the mother-daughter pairing to debate about the evening styling. Those judgments are subjective; what the photographs clearly document is Arabella taking part in one of the most formal events held at the White House. Parade

From a Little Girl to a Young Woman

Perhaps the biggest reason the photographs attracted attention had less to do with politics or even fashion.

People simply remembered Arabella differently.

For anyone who followed Ivanka during Donald Trump’s first term, Arabella was the young granddaughter who occasionally appeared in family photographs, celebrated birthdays at home and surprised viewers by speaking Mandarin.

Nearly a decade later, those childhood photographs create a striking before-and-now contrast.

At 15, Arabella is still a minor, and relatively little about her private life is publicly documented. Her White House appearance therefore offered only a snapshot rather than evidence of any larger public role.

But it was a memorable snapshot.

The RARE PHOTOS captured three different versions of the same story: the little girl once seen beside Ivanka, the poised teenager attending an official welcome ceremony, and the dressed-up daughter accompanying her mother for an elaborate state dinner.

For longtime observers of the Trump family, the transformation was difficult to miss.
