Following the success of Sleepless in Seattle, Malinger continued appearing in films and television.
His credits included Sudden Death, Toothless, Party of Five, Seinfeld, and Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher.
He also became familiar to younger audiences as the original voice of T.J. Detweiler on Disney’s animated series Recess.
But by 2006, his acting career had come to an end. His final credited screen appearance was in an episode of Without a Trace.
